| Truer Medical, Inc. was founded by Tim Truitt and Gerry Krippner in memory of their common friend and medical industry mentor Doug Mongeon. The name Truer comes from a combination of the founders last names. In 2007, Truer was formed as a management company to manage Shore Medical, Inc. after Mr. Mongeon's unfortunate passing. In late, 2009, Truer purchased the assets of Shore Medical and continues to manufacture and market Shore Medical products.
Tim Truitt
Tim has many years experience in medical device and manufacturing industry starting in 1990 at Coast Medical, Inc. under the tutelage of Doug Mongeon. He came to Coast with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cal State Long Beach. After Coast, he went to the Kipp Medical Group where he was instrumental in the design and development of many products in the management of fluids for the medical device industry. The Kipp Group was purchased by Portex and finally became Medegen, Inc. where Tim served as the director of medical products design and development. Tim has a number of patents which have had an instrumental impact on Medegan's success. In 2007 came to Truer Medical where he now oversees the operation. He is married to Sheree and lives in Orange, CA with his daughter Faith. He enjoys riding dune buggies, water sports and skiing.
Gerry Krippner
Gerry earned a Mechanical Engineering
degree from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo and later an MBA degree from Cal State San Marcos. His career began as an engineering apprentice with Hunter Industries in San Marcos, California. After college, he worked with Andersen Consulting (now Accenture)
as a management consultant in their manufacturing
systems practice. Most of his time with Andersen was with the
Boeing company in Seattle,Washington and Oak Ridge,
Tennessee. In 1990, Gerry began work at HK Plastics Engineering, Inc. where he now serves
as the President and CEO. Gerry does not currently work at Truer Medical, Inc., but serves as a board member and advisor. Gerry enjoys cycling (MTB & road), tennis, and fly-fishing and lives near Vista, California
with his wife Renee and three sons, Evan, Andrew, and
Ryan.
